Andrea Oakley
It is an honor to be a part of the Scales Superstar community and serve as Principal.
My previous 13 years of experience in education started at La Vergne Middle School as a teacher and dean of students, La Vergne High School as a teacher and dean of students, Riverdale High School as an assistant principal, and John Pittard Elementary as an academic coach. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Ecology, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership. As an educational leader at Scales Elementary School, I strive to focus on building relationships with the school community while guiding emphasis on the whole child in building success and achievement. As a servant leader I genuinely love supporting students, teachers, and the community to ensure a safe and effective environment.
My husband and I have two amazing sons. Spending time with our families is a core value in our home. We also enjoy weekends at the lake, traveling, and outside activities. I look forward to supporting the Scales community and continuing to build relationships with our Superstars.

Raeshon Torres
Hello, Scales Superstars!
I am excited to be a part of the Scales Elementary administrative team, serving as assistant principal. I began my career at Scales 18 years ago, and it’s great to be back! I have been in Murfreesboro City Schools my entire career in education, serving as an ESP teacher, a third and fourth grade teacher, assistant principal, and principal. It has been truly a blessing to work with Murfreesboro’s children and collaborate with MCS professionals who are passionate about meeting the academic and personal needs of our students.
My wife and I have 3 kids, and we enjoy family time, art, outdoors, fitness, music, and spiritual growth. I’ve lived in Murfreesboro for over 20 years, and I believe our schools are a big part of what makes this city a wonderful place to live and build a family, so being able to serve at Scales Elementary is a tremendous honor.
I look forward to a great school year!
