History

Scales Elementary School was built in 2005.  It is named after Mary Scales who greatly impacted education in our Murfreesboro community. Scales Elementary is located on St. Andrews Drive in Middle Tennessee.  Scales is a large elementary school with a population of approximately 900 plus students in kindergarten through fifth grade. In addition to a history of excellence in education, Scales also has a dynamic athletic, music, art, and drama program.  In addition, we have a National Honor Society and Student Council for our elementary students, scholars, and leaders. The school colors are red and blue, and the school motto is “Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow!”   Our mascot is a silver star named Starburst.  At Scales, staff, students, and families work together to support the growth and development of each of our students to become life-long learners and leaders within our community.
